The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported theft of wine from the Walgreen’s store (410 Old Polk City Road) in Lakeland.
The theft occurred on Thursday, May 7th. The suspects, two women, only spent three minutes in the store, just before 1:00 p.m.
Store management reports that the two women were seen placing five bottles of wine in their bags, then leaving without paying.
The stolen wine was described as Bogle Merlot (750ml), Cupcake Chardonnay (750ml), Sutter Home Chardonnay (1.5L), Woodbridge Pinot Noir (1.5L), and appropriately---19 Crimes Cabernet (750ml).
The women left in a burgundy colored Nissan Maxima.
