The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a couple of catalytic converter thieves. On Wednesday, October 9, 2020 between 11:15 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., two male suspects entered the parking lot at 7215 Hwy 98 N in Lakeland, and removed the catalytic converter (worth up to $1000) from a daycare transport van. They then placed the automotive part in the trunk of their vehicle. 

The suspects were recorded on security footage and seen leaving the scene toward Duff Road. The suspects are described as two males of unknown race in a black car of unknown make.
