Suspect sought in battery on store clerk

Polk County Sheriff’s Office detectives need the public’s help in identifying a subject involved in a simple battery case.
On May 5, 2019, an unidentified woman entered the Circle K Conveience Store located at 8324 US Highway 98 North in Lakeland to purchase tobacco.
While the clerk was conducting normal proced
ures set in place for purchasing tobacco, the suspect became irate, grabbed a bag of M&M’s, and threw it at the clerk, striking her in the abdomen.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been identified at this time.
The subject is described to be a heavy set black female with with pink hair, crystals on the bottom row of her teeth and approximately 5’5-5’7.
