Suspect sought in attempted murder, shooting at gas station in Polk City

Polk County Sheriff's detectives are seeking the whereabouts of
26-year-old Christopher Allen Wade, Jr. of Tower Manor Circle East in Auburndale, who has a warrant for his arrest for eight counts attempted murder, one count possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and one count shooting into an occupied vehicle.

During the early morning hours of Saturday, October 3, 2020, Wade was in the parking lot of the Marathon gas station located a 8919 SR 33 North in Polk City with a group of people when a fight broke out. Wade retrieved a handgun from the vehicle he was driving and shot into a car occupied by eight people. One victim was struck by a bullet and taken to a local hospital, where she was treated and released.
Wade fled the scene before law enforcement arrived. He is a convicted felon from a 2011 attempted armed robbery. A 2017 mugshot can be seen here. He is 5'11" tall, 160 lbs.
