PCSO detectives are seeking the public's help to identify the suspect seen here, who committed fraud at the Marathon gas station located at 111 Marcum Road in Lakeland.
On March 19, 2019, the suspect went into the store, selected two ballcaps from a shelf near the register, then took them to the counter and told the clerk he had purchased them and wanted a refund. The clerk refunded $35.00 cash to the suspect. The suspect then put a $20.00 bill in his pocket, and told the clerk he was "shorted" twenty dollars. The clerk handed him another $20.00 bill.
The suspect was wearing a camoflauge clothing and glasses. He left the store in a newer model Chevrolet Impala or Malibu with dark tinted windows.
If anyone has information on the identity of this suspect, they are urged to contact Detective Pennell at 863-577-1600.
