On Thursday morning, May 28th, an employee of Polk State College in Winter Haven discovered that one of the golf carts had been stolen, and fencing around the compound had been damaged. The golf cart was found nearby (still on property), but also damaged.
Thieves may have been unable to drive the golf cart very far due to the battery dying on them.
Now our detective is trying to identify the young men in the video. Despite what the blue shirt says, we’re pretty confident that the one guy is not retired Tampa Bay Lightning hockey player Vincent Lacavalier.
If you recognize one or both men in this video, or you have information that would be helpful to this investigation, please contact Detective Kier at 863-297-1117 (reference case #20-21573), or to remain anonymous, contact Heartland Crime Stoppers - call 1-800-226 TIPS (8477), visit www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and click on "Submit A Tip," or download the free "P3tips" app on your smartphone or tablet.
