Detectives with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office need the public’s help with identifying a suspect in a retail theft case.

On Wednesday, May 29, 2019, this susject entered the Dollar General at 4336 Kinghts Station Road in Lakeland with an empty shopping cart.

The suspect walked around the store and collected several items and placed them in the cart before walking out of the store without purchasing any items.

The store clerk followed her out and asked her if she was going to pay, but was ignored by the suspect.

The clerk identified the suspect vehicle to possibly be a Chevrolet Caprice with no tag.
