The PCSO Traffic Unit is seeking the public's help in a hit-and-run investigation. Preliminary information so far is as follows:
Sometime between 3:45 a.m. and 4:55 a.m. on Monday, May 6, 2019, an adult male victim who was riding his bicycle on Washington Avenue near M Street in Lake Wales was struck by an unknown make and model vehicle. The victim died from his injuries.
The suspect fled the scene.
If anyone has information about this incident, they are urged to contact Deputy Sheriff Mendez at 863-297-1100.
