Polk County Sheriff's Homicide detectives are seeking the public's help in a homicide investigation. Around 9:40 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021, 17-year-old Taigur Taguri was fatally shot at Gordon Heights Park near Bartow while sitting in the driver's seat of his truck. He told a witness, who was in the truck with him, that he was going there to sell marijuana.

The witness observed several unknown black male suspects open both doors of the truck and open fire on Taguri, killing him. The witness was not injured.
