Polk County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for the public’s help in a wallet theft that occurred at the Racetrac located at 6650 US Hwy 98 North in Lakeland.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., on Thursday, June 7, 2018, the victim purchased gas and a lottery ticket. While at the counter, she laid her wallet down, and left it behind. When she got home, she realized it was missing, and returned to the store. After reporting it to PCSO, a review of the video surveillance system showed the suspect seen here taking the wallet off the counter.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic female, 25-30 years old, wearing black leggings with a skeleton design, a black T-shirt with "Hustler 74" written on it, and glasses.
