Polk County Sheriff's Office Robbery detectives are currently investigating an armed business robbery that occurred at 9:50 pm on January 4, 2017, at the Dollar General located at 49571 Highway 27 in Davenport.

The suspect entered the store armed with a handgun and approached the employees demanding them to give him access to the safe and registers. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of currency, the suspect fled the scene on foot.  The suspect was last seen heading northwest from the location.

The following is the description of the suspect:

Suspect- B/M, 25 to 30 years old, 6’0” to 6’2” tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds. The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with black pants and black boots. The suspect had his face covered with a red and white bandanna. The suspect was armed with a black, semi-automatic handgun.
