Polk County Sheriff's Robbery Detectives are investigating an armed business robbery that occurred on January 2, 2017, at the Citgo located at 2415 Avenue G NW in Winter Haven.

Around 6:05 a.m. that morning, the suspect entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’7” tall, weighing 160-180 pounds, wearing a white hat, a black jacket, black pants, white shoes, blue gloves and had his face covered with what appeared to be a black and white bandanna. The suspect was armed with an unknown type silver colored handgun.
