CRIME: RETAIL THEFT & BATTERY
CRIME SCENE: PUBLIX - 1200 CHAMPIONS DRIVE, DAVENPORT
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE CASE 25-26764

A retail theft occurred followed by a battery at the Publix store at 1200 Champions Drive near Davenport on July 5th at around 6:30 pm.

The suspect, wearing the yellow dress in this video, stole approximately $125 worth of merchandise from the store. 

When a woman confronted the suspect about the theft, the suspect intentionally struck the victim twice, then pushed her.

The suspect fled the scene in a dark-colored Waggoneer.

The little girl in the cart is innocent of the crimes. The two other women with the suspect may be witnesses, or they could be suspects. If they are only witnesses, they should contact the Polk County Sheriff's Office to let us know that.
