Burglars steal ice cream and toppings

Media Contact: Brian Bruchey, PIO

This story was posted on the PCSO Facebook page, in reference to two suspects burglarizing the Mulberry Civic Center, stealing ice cream and toppings.

One of our detectives was assigned this case, and needs a little help identifying the two bandits in the video.

This incident occurred on Friday, May 4th at around 12:15 a.m. at the Mulberry Civic Center in Mulberry, which makes sense, because the Mulberry Civic Center in Davenport would just be ridiculous.

The video shows our two suspects as they enter the building, and immediately presents so many questions, such as:

What are those reflective pieces on their clothes?
Is the skinny dude wearing a GPS monitor on his ankle?
Is the other suspect a boy or girl?
Is that second suspect actually barefoot???

Yes, those are some interesting questions, but all we really need to know is, who are these two?

The video is a little glitchy, so it jumps around a little bit. We had a K-9 like that once. Poor thing found too much meth once.

Here’s where things really get weird. Um, weirder. The treasure they made off with was ice cream and toppings worth $15. You may be thinking, “Fifteen dollars is kind of small potatoes!” To which we would say, “No, it was a lot of ice cream and toppings. Pay attention. And a crime is a crime. We don’t even care if it was rum raisin ice cream.”

The video is dark, so a description on the suspects is tough. Both appear to be vanilla, uhhh, white. One is really thin, the other, not so much. One may have an ankle monitor, the other probably has Circle K feet.

If you recognize one or both of these suspects, please call Detective Eldridge at 863-499-2400. Or, if you'd like to remain anonymous, and be eligible for a CASH REWARD, you can call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Anonymity is guaranteed!
