The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a theft of a wallet.

On Saturday, October 3rd, at about 3:45pm, the victim was with her children in the Children's Thrift Store (5445 Hwy 98 North) in Lakeland.

The woman was helping her child pick out dresses, and said she would set her purse down as they would look at different dresses. The woman inadvertently left her wallet behind.

She eventually spoke to the store management, and they reviewed the security video.

The purse is described as having an American Flag design in rhinestones.

Detectives are trying to identify the couple in the attached photo to learn if the couple knows anything about the purse.
