Can you identify this suspect or even the truck? It appears that this truck was involved in two different crimes.
The first crime occurred on January 2nd at about 1:40 AM, in the area of Lakeland Commerce Parkway. The suspect attempted to steal a 24' homemade utility trailer. We say attempted because the wheels were chained, so the suspect only managed to pull the trailer about fifty-feet before realizing the theft just wasn't working out for him.
On January 5th at around 5:15 AM, crime #2 occurred at the Circle K at 7695 SR 60 East in Bartow. It looks like the same truck from crime #1 was involved, as it is backed up to the victim's vehicle, and the suspect stole the victim's rear taillight assembly.
There were at least two suspects involved.
One of the suspects appears to be a white male. The truck is an older model Ford Ranger, two-toned paint scheme with silver rims.
The truck may have damage on the passenger side hood area, and may even have been painted a different color since these photos were taken.
If you have any information regarding these crimes, please contact Detective T. Wright at 863- 577-1600 (reference case #21-143).
