Do you recognize this man – or the logo on his shoes?
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fraud that occurred at the Fort Meade Dollar General store (109 Charleston Ave. South) on June 23, 2021.
At around 4:45 p.m. on that Wednesday, the suspect distracted the store clerk and stole two gift cards worth $400 each and other items, totaling around $850. Less than an hour after the theft, the suspect used the cards at a Lakeland Publix (3636 Harden Blvd.).
