The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating a series of incidents involving trailer thefts in the northern part of the county.
On July 27th, at around 6 am, someone attempted to remove an enclosed trailer by cutting a Master Lock. This occurred on Commonwealth Avenue near Polk City.
On that same day, less than a half hour later, a white Spartan enclosed cargo trailer containing construction equipment was taken from property on Evergreen Boulevard (just off of Commonwealth Avenue, north of Polk City).
On July 28th, between 10 pm and Midnight, a 2018 Calt 18 utility trailer and a black 2020 utility trailer (both loaded with lawn equipment) were removed from Personal Mini Storage on Davenport Boulevard and US 27 in the Four Corners area.
A white, two-tone, Ford F-250 4-door truck (pictured) was observed at all three locations.
There have been four other trailer thefts in the northwest part of the county that are also being investigated, and may be connected.
Please take precautions to protect your trailers.
