Polk County Sheriff's deputies are seeking information about an attempted armed robbery that occurred on August 5, 2018, at the Race Trac gas station located at 6650 US Hwy 98 North in Lakeland.

Around 9:40 p.m., the suspect put $5.00 worth of gas into his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, then went inside and wrote a note to the clerk, demanding money and implying that he had a firearm. 
 
Video surveillance photos of the suspect can be seen here. He is described as a white male in his 50s, between 5'9" and 6' tall, wearing a sleeveless denim shirt with writing on the back "Tomahawk Fall Ride WI." There is an image of the grim reaper on it as well. He was also wearing a white bandanna around his neck, dark pants, and brown work boots with a spur on the right heel. The motorcycle is orange and black.
