Polk County Sheriff's Office detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an occupied burglary that occurred in Mulberry.
On Friday, March 09, 2018, around 5:45 a.m., a victim who lives off of 9th Avenue in Mulberry, went into the kitchen area of his apartment and saw an unknown suspect standing inside the living room area of his home.
The suspect was facing away from him near the opened front door and picked up the victim’s Xbox, accessories, and a tablet that were piled on a chair.
The victim said, “What are you doing?” and the suspect dropped the items and fled the home. The suspect ran northbound towards NW Prairie Mine Road.
The suspect is described as a white or possibly light-skinned Hispanic male, approximately 5’9” tall, 160 lbs, wearing a dark blue or black gym shorts, and a grey hooded pullover sweatshirt.
